Visitors, speakers pouring in, India extends AI Impact summit by a day; daily hours expanded

The India AI Impact Summit Expo in New Delhi has been extended by a day until February 21, as overwhelming crowds, global interest, and strong participation pushed organisers to prolong access

The India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi has been extended by an extra day, with organisers announcing that the showcase will now continue until February 21 instead of ending earlier this week.

The decision comes after a
massive turnout of visitors, delegates, startups, and global tech players eager to experience India’s growing artificial intelligence ecosystem.

Originally scheduled to conclude on February 20, the extension allows more visitors to explore AI exhibits, demonstrations, and innovations being showcased at the venue. Officials said the strong footfall and enthusiastic participation made it necessary to prolong the expo.

The summit, hosted at Bharat Mandapam, has drawn policymakers, industry leaders, startups, researchers, and students from India and abroad.

IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said more than three lakh people had registered for the summit so far, calling it a “very strong response” that underscored growing enthusiasm around artificial intelligence. He also said that around 2.5 lakh participants—most of them under 30—visited the exhibition area.

Extended hours and access for visitors

Along with extending the expo dates, organisers also announced longer visiting hours to accommodate the surge in attendees. The extension is expected to help visitors who were unable to attend earlier due to crowd restrictions or scheduling constraints.

The summit features AI-powered robotics, automation systems, enterprise solutions, and cutting-edge research projects from Indian and international companies. Government agencies, startups, and academic institutions are also showcasing innovations aimed at transforming industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, education, and governance.

The India AI Impact Summit has emerged as a key platform for positioning India as a global leader in artificial intelligence. With participation from world leaders, tech giants, and policymakers, the summit reflects India’s push to accelerate AI adoption and innovation.
