India and the United Arab Emirates have held fresh talks as tensions continue to rise across West Asia, with both sides focusing on security concerns triggered by Iran’s missile and drone attacks in the region.
India’s EAM S Jaishankar spoke with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan over the phone, as both countries assessed the rapidly changing situation.
Sharing details of the conversation, Jaishankar said they “discussed the evolving situation” in West Asia and exchanged views on the broader regional impact.

Rising threats across the Gulf
The discussion comes amid a surge in missile and drone activity linked to Iran. Since the conflict escalated, the UAE has faced repeated aerial threats, with its air defence systems intercepting multiple projectiles aimed at key locations.
Iran’s retaliation following US-Israel strikes has increasingly targeted Gulf nations, raising fears of a wider regional spillover. Explosions, intercepted drones, and falling debris have already affected civilian areas in parts of the UAE, highlighting the growing risks.
