Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle has reportedly passed away at the age of 92 after suffering a cardiac arrest, according to Maharashtra Minister of Cultural Affairs Ashish Shelar.

She was rushed to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on April 11 after the medical emergency, where she was admitted to the emergency unit but could not be revived.

The news of her death was officially announced by state authorities, marking the end of an era in Indian music.

As per the announcement, her mortal remains will be kept at her residence between 11 am and 3 pm on Sunday to allow family, friends, and admirers to pay their last respects. The final rites are scheduled to be performed at Shivaji Park at 4 pm.
