PM Modi’s Ethiopia visit begins with a personal chauffeured welcome from Abiy Ahmed

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Addis Ababa for a two-day State visit to strengthen India’s partnership with Ethiopia.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Addis Ababa for a two-day State visit to Ethiopia at the invitation of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, who personally welcomed him at the airport.

In a rare and personal gesturem, the Ehiopian PM also drove PM Modi to the hotel himself. During the journey, he made a special initiative to take PM Modi to the Science Museum and Friendship Park. These stops were not part of the official itinerary.

Additionally, members of the Indian community in Ethiopia warmly welcomed the India Prime by singing the song “Aisa Desh Hai Mera.”

What to expect out of the visit?
