Diplomatic engagement between India and Iran continues as Dr S. Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister, received a phone call from Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday evening. As per a post on X by the External Affairs Minister, the two leaders held a detailed discussion on various aspects of the current situation and agreed to remain in close contact going forward.

The Ministry of Iran also stated in a post on X that Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar discussed and exchanged views on the latest developments related to the ceasefire, bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues.
