Ahead of high-stakes Quad talks in Delhi, US Ambassador Sergio Gor and Marco Rubio took in Jaipur’s iconic heritage, with Gor hailing the Pink City as the “Heart of Rajasthan”
The United States ambassador to India Sergio Gor shared a stunning tribute to Jaipur, calling it the “Heart of Rajasthan” and celebrating the city’s iconic pink-hued beauty.
In a post on X, the he described the Rajasthan capital as the “Pink City, where every sunset paints the palaces in hues of rose and gold,” highlighting its timeless architectural grandeur and cultural richness.

Gor was in jaipur along with US State Secretary Marco Rubio and his wife, Jeanette Rubio. Taking a
brief detour from intensive geopolitical deliberations in New Delhi, Rubio and his core delegation were personally accompanied by Gor as they immersed themselves in India’s rich cultural history.
High-profile accents at Amber Mahal
The delegation’s tour of Jaipur featured a detailed walk-through of the iconic, 16th-century Amber Fort (Amer Fort). Perched high on a ridge, the Unesco World Heritage site served as an ideal backdrop for Secretary Rubio, his wife, and Ambassador Gor to experience Rajasthan’s architectural craftsmanship firsthand.
Earlier on Monday morning, Ambassador Gor had accompanied Secretary Rubio and his wife to the Taj Mahal in Agra, where the Secretary hailed the monument as “one of the true treasures of the world.”
Rubio is now back in New Delhi to attend the
Quad summit hosted by EAM S Jaishankar.
