TCS Nashik probe widens: 3 more women likely to file FIRs in abuse, religious conversion case

In a major development in the TCS Nashik case, three more women come forward and are likely to file FIRs, taking the total to 12–14, as the probe widens into allegations of sexual harassment, coercion and forced religious conversion.

In a major development in the ongoing Tata Consultancy Services’ (TCS) Nashik case, three more women are expected to come forward and file fresh FIRs against the accused, significantly expanding the scope of the investigation.

According to information reported by News18, the victims had initially been reluctant to lodge formal complaints, citing fear, trauma and social pressure. However, sustained counselling efforts by the
Nashik Police and the Special Investigation Team (SIT) over the past several days have reportedly encouraged them to pursue legal action.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

With these new complaints, the total number of FIRs in the case is likely to rise to between 12 and 14, marking a crucial turning point in the probe. Investigators believe that the testimonies of the new complainants could play a key role in strengthening the case, particularly as the allegations extend beyond sexual exploitation to include coercion and claims of forced religious conversion.

Officials are now focusing on recording detailed statements, corroborating evidence and identifying any emerging patterns that could point to a larger, organised network. The possibility of further arrests or legal action is also being examined as the investigation deepens.

What happened?

The case first came to light on March 25, when a young woman working at BPO office in Nashik, Maharashtra filed a complaint at Deolali Camp Police Station, alleging sexual exploitation and harassment by colleagues over several years. Subsequent police action led to multiple arrests and a growing number of complaints from other employees.

Her complaint mentioned the incident occurred between 2022 and 2026. She also alleged that one male colleague sexually exploited and molested her several times.

Suspension of employees linked to the case

Amid the controversy, TCS has also confirmed the suspension of employees linked to the case, ensuring cooperation with law enforcement agencies. Six of the accused are currently in magisterial custody, according to police. The company has said it is cooperating fully with law enforcement agencies and will take further action based on the outcome of the investigation.

As more victims come forward, the case is expected to intensify, placing greater scrutiny on both the accused and the systems that may have allowed the alleged misconduct to persist.
